Did you check to see if the service is running?

Right click My Computer / Manage. Look at the services and start the print

Adobe is right up there with Norton, junk.

This works very well for reading PDF's.

I'll second that.

My Norton picted up the fact that jucheck.exe was trying to access the
internet. I didn't allow it. Instead I did a search and it associated it with
the prefetch folder. Any idea what jucheck is checking for ?

You can delete all the contents of the Prefetch directory but there is
no reason to do so. Whoever told you to delete files in this directory
as part of monthly maintenance was incorrect. In fact, deleting files
from Prefetch may slow computer behavior. Here is the correct
explanation of what the Prefetch directory is and does:

The files in the Prefetch folder are data files related to enhancing the
speed at which applications start. Windows XP Professional monitors the
files that are used when the computer starts and when you start
applications. By monitoring these files, Windows XP Professional can
prefetch them. Prefetching data is the process whereby data that is
expected to be requested is read ahead into the cache. Prefetching boot
files and applications decreases the time needed to start Windows XP
Professional and start applications.

If your using Internet Explorer, instead of trying to group your searches in
History, just add the page to Favorites.

I'm not sure how familiar you are with IE but there will be a "Favorites"
tab above the Address bar. When you are on the web page you want to refer
back to just click "Favorites" then click the Add button. Like you were
saying about organizing into groups, you can do that in Favorites by clicking
"Organize", then Create Folder, or Move to Folder for the pages you already
added to Favorites.

"The Man - © 2999" wrote:

Can I group searches in Google Search History?

For example, if I search each night (let us say) on Google,
researching a report for school re: CARS, can I group them all in one
folder? I want to attach a label "CARS" to all of my searches
encompassing. In this way all I have to do is locate that folder or
"tag" as in Gmail, and then see all of my results for that topic.

Can I "tag" them or "group" them, so I can see them all together
"categorized" on one page instead of searching through my Google
Search History, or looking through all of it.

Thanks in advance,

Quite a few things you can try that might help:

Have you played with the Windows Virtual Memory settings?
If so, undo your settings and let Windows handle it on it's own.

Right-click "My Computer", "Properties", "Advanced" tab. Under Performance
section, click the
"Settings" button, "Advanced" tab, under the Virtual memory section, click
the "Change" button,
and check the option, "System managed size". Click the "Set" button, click
"OK", "Apply", and
"OK" your way out.

Virtual Memory in Windows XP http://aumha.org/win5/a/xpvm.htm

---------------------------------

Clean out the cache files. C:\Windows\Temporary Internet Files. Click Start,
Settings,
Control Panel, Internet Options, "General" tab Look under "Temporary
Internet Files", Click
"Delete Files", check box, "Delete all offline content", "OK", "Delete
Cookies" button.

---------------------------------

Error Message: Memory Could Not Be Read...
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=262490

In the root directory of C:\, modify or create the config.sys file. Add the
following:

files=65
buffers=40
stacks=64,512

If the error persists, try adding this line to your System.ini file:
Scroll down to the [386Enh] Section and One space down. Hit the
Enter Key one time to create a blank line just below the [386Enh].
In the blank line, type the following:

MinSPs=6

Click Edit, Save, Edit, exit. Shut down and restart for the changes to take
effect.
(The default is 2. If required, increase increments by 2.)

---------------------------------

If nothing helped, try here: http://tinyurl.com/cl4v

---------------------------------

Getting the error "The memory could not be read" on right-click button:

When you right click a file or folder, you should get the context menu...
So, there might be some invalid or corrupted entires in your context menu
that is creating the
problem

Download ShellExView from here:
http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/slowrightclick.htm
and check what is going on in your context menu. Delete the entries which
are unwanted or
unknown.

Let me know if any of this helped you out,
Jason.

Got this message after I closed IE. Could I be having a memory problem,
because there are times when I try to print and it takes forever when
nothingelse is running.

PostPosted: Mon Apr 30, 2007 4:46 pm    Post subject: RE: IE7 not connecting Reply with quote

Have you tried getting onto the internet by another way like a previous
version of IE?

You may just have to release and renew your IP address. I'm not that
familiar with IE7 since I don't have it installed, but maybe since you
installed it IE7 requires the DHCP server to give out new IP's. In your case
your IP may still be set for IE6. Not really sure though.

Go to Start, Run, then type in cmd.exe. Once the Command Prompt pops up type
ipconfig /release, then once that is finished releasing the IP type ipconfig
/renew. This will release your Internet Protocol Address, then renew it.

Let me know if this was of any help,
Jason.

Not too sure about the svchost.exe application error, but Burnwatcher is an
Adobe Lightscribe update that will resolve Send/Don't send error messages. Do
you have Adobe Lightscribe installed on your computer? If so what kind of
error messages is it giving?

Let me know if you find out,

PostPosted: Mon Apr 30, 2007 5:12 pm    Post subject: RE: No Wallpaper of Recycle Bin for New User Reply with quote

I don't believe it is anything that you did wrong, but instead of making the
new users Administrators, try just creating them in the Users group. The
reason they might not be able to access or delete anything to the recycle bin
has to do with Permissions of that user. For example, theres a permission
that will let a user Delete files.

To add new users to a group:

Click Start, right-click My Computer; and scroll to where it says Manage
then click on that. Once the Computer Management window opens, under the
section System Tools, click Local Users and Groups. Then right-click the
Users folder and select "New User...".
-This is where you will type in the User Name, Full Name, Password, etc. You
only need to fill in the User Name and Password sections. In the bottom
section uncheck User Must Change Password at next logon, and check Password
never expires.

Once you created the user go back to Local Users and groups, and this time
click on the Groups folder. Then double click the Users group. Once that
window pops up click the Add tab at the bottom. At the Enter the object names
to select, just type in the User Name of the user you just created and then
click Ok the rest of the way out.

Sorry if it was a long reply, but let me know if this was of any help to you.
Jason.

Jason,

Thank you very much for your detailed response. There is one problem - I
can only get as far as System Tools within the Computer Management window.
There is no choice for Local Users and Groups under System Tools. Maybe this
is part of the original problem. Any other ideas would be greatly
appreciated.

The OP - or the person who answered the OP?

The responder that your responded to *did* chang the subject (never
recommended) --> but likely did it to avoid spreadig the spam even further.

If you *really* wish to see the content of the spam:
