it just so happens that i'm having the same problems and i'm also trying to
save my AMV. i tried changing the mp3 to wav but that didn't help anything. i
even tried saving this thing on an 8 gb laptop. i'm stuck on this too, so
you're not alone.

I make Anime Music Videos (AMVs) in my spare time and I recently just
finished one. After I finished, It was 00:06:14 on the mark. I tried to save
it to my computer, but it saved the first 4:03 only. I checked a few things
like file placement, and even transfered a majoity of my video clips and
episodes off my HD to my other computer.
When I tried to save a second time, the same problem. Only the first 4:03
was saved.
I know I have enough room on my HD, about 8 GB free (I have an Inspiron 1150
laptop) and 512mb RAM. I even started a new project and carefuly re-created
the video like the old one. Same problem when saving again.
Computer Specs:
-Dell Inspiron 1150 w/ Windows XP home ed. ver.2002 installed
-SP2 (of course)
-512 mb RAM
-2.80 GHz Mobile Intel Pentium 4 processor
-25 GB hard drive, (with Halo inst. ) so I have now around 8 GB free.
I've never had this problem before now and I seriousley need help. Does
anyone have a clue? Please?

WMP doesn't do conversions but you
could burn a music CD with the .wma
files and then use WMP to RIP it with
..mp3 as the target format.
Also...you could try converting the files

Hi Maestro,
Was reading this thread. Since you've found success, hope you won't mind a
question. Did you save an individual audio track on the audio/music track as
a movie file? Or were you always working with a video (with audio) on the
video track when you saved the superimposed songs?
Thanks!

If you are saying you wish to add two

is yes.
Drag one audio file to the Audio/Music

Re-import the Movie / drag it to the

Customer Service is important. You can have a great product but if you

Hi I've been reading alot of the posts and I actually have the opposite
problem - I took a short (15 second) video clip of my daughter with my "old"
VHS-C camcorder, dubbed it onto a DVD with my DVD recorder, and now want ot
save it as a either a WMV, MP4, AVI file on my vista PC so I can then send
/download it. I can view teh clip no problem with media center ... but how
can I save it as a file to my PC?

But, I am helping my mother-in-law with a 41 minute slide show of pictures. For some reason I am not able to "save as" then rename the file with a (AV, WMV ect..) It puts the WSWMM extension on it. I am unable to get it to play at all. She is using Sonic My DVD and has burned movies in the past, as I have assisted her in this. However, this time it isn't working at all. It starts to convert and gives an error message that the file is in use by another program. Nothing is open at all, I even looked in the processes and nothing that I could see was running associated with MM2. It also stated something about the log file. The kicker is, it is for a wedding in two weeks. Tonight I was going to uninstall the Sonic My DVD and try reinstalling it to see if that will work at all.
Any help would be great! Like I said it won't let me save it as another file type. Is their a bug in this or am I over looking something?
Please advise. |

1) In I-Tunes, go to "Edit", then "Preferences"

4) From "Import Using", scroll to MP3 Encoder and select that.
Now, find the song you want to take from "4" to "3" and RIGHT Click.
You should have the option to change to MP3 right there.
I had copied my I-Tune file to a CD before I did this, so I'd have an

Hope this helps,

VIDEO ONLY EDITING
I wish WMM would update this feature, as here we are at the end of 2007 and

I tried it and it works. However, even though I'm new to "Movie Maker, I
think inserting "video only" (i.e. cutaways) is such a basic editing
requirement and is so complicated on Movie Maker. You shouldn't have to
re-sync the video of your master video after each cutaway - it's such a
chore.
If there isn't a simpler way to do this basic editing requirement then I
think Microsoft should address this problem on their next update?

My question was the other way round. I wish to keep the vision and sound
