Hi,

When I was trying to login to my system using my domain login ID and
password, it tooks more than 10 mins to get connected to the network. This
problem happens daily so I troubleshooted the issue as given below and came
to know that the issue is due to Operating System.

1) I changed the LAN connectivity to another port and got the same problem
and then confirmed that the problem is not due to network.

2)And the I disabled my onboard ethernet card and added new addon ethernet
card and tried to connect to the network and got the same delay in connecting
the network and so I confirmed that the problem is not due to onboard
ethernet card.

3) And then I tried to connect the network through new ethernet cable and
then confirmed that the problem is not due to cable.

4) And also I created a new login ID and got the same problem in that login
so I confirmed that the problem is not due to user profile.

And so I am not sure where is the problem, can you please suggest
us a solution, so that we will be able to solve this issue. Waiting for your
favourable reply.

I would check the DNS settings first. Or this search result may help.

xp logon slowXP logon slow in child domain. Situation: The Company just
created a child domain for HR. XP computer logon takes over 5 minutes. They
did check these: ...
