|
|
I have a ton of things that automatically run when I boot up my system. I
know that there is a place to be able to control these things.
One of my major pet peeves is that right before my system gives me control,
I have something like "PhotoGallery" that tries to INSTALL and I have to
cancel it about 3 times before I can get totally rid of it.
This is not the start menu.

Click Start / Run / msconfig.exe, then have a look at the things
under the Startup tab. |

Yes, that helps, but it doesn't tell me why the installer wants to "install"
Photogallery. Maybe this is something unique to HP Computers.?? I don't
have a clue. Also, when I run msconfig, the names really aren't enough to
tell me what it does nor why I should run it. It appears that there is this
"lingo" that only the priviledged understand and the establishment wants to
keep it that way. Maybe that's why the Mac is doing so well these days?
