Macros in Word 2007

SP1 was installed for Office 2007 on my computer and it 'seems' that since
then NO macros will run.

I have turned off any security for the macros, but they still will not run.

I had been using the macros daily, but after the update I cannot get any
macros to run.

When I click-highlight a macro then click on 'run', Word 2007 sets there
with the hour glass spinning, then a message comes up and says 'Word not
responding'.
