I just imported my first MiniDV video via Firewire to my Dell laptop.
When I started I had about 60 GB of free space on the hard drive and
when I finished importing the 61 minute video I had just under 48 GB.
Is this normal or did I do something wrong? What do I need to do to
get that hard drive space back? And I thought that Firewire was
supposed to transfer video extremely fast but it took an hour to
download and will take another 108 minutes to create the video file.
Am I way off base here? Thanks.
