Can anybody vector me to a discussion of this issue here or on any other
newsgroup? I've searched for quite a while on-line and there seems to no
conclusive solution. Apparently even reinstalling WinXP does not
guarantee a cure. This problem has existed since 2001! Most vexing!
TIA

"Loads up to AGP440" where does xp load to....Try,unplug pc,remove battery,
locate the CMOS jumper pin (usually lower R.side of board),move the pin from
1-2 position to 2-3,for .30 seconds or so,then back to 1-2,replace
battery,re-
start pc..On start up,you'll need to reset BIOS date/time,etc,load optimal
defaults
or similiar,then reset for add-ons (AGP card etc),save & exit BIOS...This
resets
BIOS to factory defaults (keeps upgrade if ever done)...
