I just downloaded Adobe's new flash player because I couldn't watch videos
and audio files on the web. Now while watching videos or audio files on the
web they run perfectly for 3 min. or so and then suddenly stop with no error
messages.
Any ideas on what the problem might be?

You don't supply an example, but a good guess is it buffering,
This is when the clip is loading to your PC's temp folder,
Allow it to stutter through to completion and then replay the
clip and it will playback fine the second time.
There are many contibutory factors, - time of day, is it a clip
that is popular and you are viewing when everyone else is -
home from school/work etc |

I dont think the problem is buffering because the video plays the same length
of time and always gets to a certain place. Then it stops for good and gives
me the play icon and when I click on that the video starts over- this happens
with any video or audio file I try to play.

I might say that while watching a video on a microsoft site about access

Runs fine for me on Comcast Cable.
Just wondering...do you have Cable, DSL, Dial-up?
On the MS site...you have to click Next to access
the next screen.

On this second link you provided, it is not Adobe Flash
it is a slide show, admittedly it has a confusing toolbar
inasmuch as it indicates a pause button and if you click
on it, then changes to a Play indicator, but they are non-
functional, you use the "Next" button to progress thru
the tutorial.
This is normal and nothing is wrong. |

I finally was able to play the video on the microsoft site but am still have
trouble with every other video or audio I try to play. I'll try the
troubleshooting steps from Sister Mary. Im going to be away from my computer
for the weekend though so i wont be able to do it on the weekend. Have a
wonderful Holiday!!!

You started another thread in which you revealed you
are on dial-up, that may well explain the problems.
Streaming video via a dial-up connection is unlilkly
to succeed, you are probably getting time-outs. |
