I have a XP Pro machine that when it reboots it loses the time and shows the
default of 12:00 am Jan 1 1601. The battery is good and the BIOS clock keeps
the correct time. Ran several spyware and virus programs and all come up
clean. Any ideas?
Thanks for your help.

Hi Darrell,

Although this references Windows 2000, it might also be applicable to
Windows XP:

If the BIOS has correct date/time, then the System Date
has been set; and that's what is displayed for you.

Need more data.
