back up win XP IE favorites

I want to preserve a list of about 40 favorite web sies now in IE for
use later. Part of a study course.

Can anyone telll me where they are stored and the best way to put them
to one side for easy recall later please ?

Open Internet Explorer. Select File->Import and Export. Follow the wizard to
export a copy to a different location like a floppy or USB stick. To restore
back do the same but select Import.

Or manually you can right click the Start button and select Explore. In the
left pane you will see the Favorites icon. This can be burned to disk or
copied to a USB stick.

It's stored under:

x:\documents and settings\[username]\favourites

where "x" is the drive Window is installed on (not necessarily CSmile and
"username" is the username is your username profile.

More likely spelled "favorites"
