Simply install xp cd,boot to xp cd,at menu,select install xp,new copy,delete
the partition (XP),create one,then xp formats & installs auto...Installing
another xp OS thru windows explorer is not advisable.

Boot from your new XP CD and do a repair install over the existing version.
