I want to capture a streaming video off the web to show to my mother
who does not have a computer. I've tried various utilities that claim
to record streaming video but they don't work.
I tried to videotape the monitor using my camcorder but you can see
the screen refresh (black band moves vertically down the screen).
This appears regardless of the what is on the screen (internet or
local application).
Is there a way to videotape a monitor screen and eliminate the black
band?

shoot it from an LCD monitor..

If you have SteadyShot on your video camera, Try turning it off
