No system restore and Norton AV

I was not able to perform System Restore at any restore point. I found the
solution posted by a MVP, Ramesh, back in 2006, so I thought I would post his
solution again, that worked for me. Thanks very much Ramesh!

Very simple...my Norton 2007 AV was preventing the Restore function from
working. The link to his solution is posted below for those of you having
problems with Restore. Try this before messing with the Windows OS which
might cause further problems.

Way to go Norton. Do your job for AV, but leave the operating systems
alone!!!!

Norton is garbage and causes no end of problems, get rid of it and have a
happier PC.
