I have added support for a DV cam and USB keyboards to my XPe image.
Problem is, if the peripherals aren't connected during FBA, certain
files go missing and XPe cannot install the drivers for those
peripherals afterwards. If the peripheral is connected during the FBA
then it works like a charm. Any ideas?

Are you saying the driver files really get deleted sometime when you boot you image few times if the peripherals weren't connected
to PC during FBA? That sounds weird. Can you confirm the files really deleted?
