|
|
Hello again,
I've prepared XPe images that I boot from the network (using virtual
machines as server and clients) and I added almost all the network
components that are needed and the clients can connect to the server (they
receive an IP from the DHCP and the ping answers back) but when I try to
ping from the server to the client, I have no response (neither telnet
connections). The same thing happens between clients (they have different
names because of fbreseal), there's no connection possible.
I started to use only aa XPe template (information appliance) as an image,
but I continue getting the same problems...
Little help, please...?
Thanks

Are they all on the same subnet and do you have gateways as required if they
are on different subnets?
Also, Windows Firewall is on by default and that is more likely the cause
that the ping is getting blocked at the firewall on the client.

Firewall on the clients?
Here is how you configure it: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/embedded/aa731196.aspx
