Hello, I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to transfer home movies I
made with my camcorder using mini dvd-rw's, to the regular size dvd's. Here
is my info:
-my Panasonic camcorder is less than a year old
-my 2 yr old HP laptop does NOT have a dvd burner; I dont think i have a
program for burning DVD's but I may be wrong. I know I have sonic in the
laptop.
-I am able to transfer my recordings TO the laptop ( i think) but dont know
what to do with them once they are there as far as burning to a DVD.
-Laptop runs windows XP home edition sp2 (IE7)
DO i need the laptop to accomplish what I want? Or do I need an external dvd
burner unit? I would like to hope for an inexpensive way that is not too
high tech for me, as I am new to the DVD world.
I thank you in advance |

You've answered your own question, your laptop dosen't have a burner
so you cannot burn a DVD.
The answer if you did have a burner, you'd copy the contents of
the mini-DVD to a folder, then *burn* those contents to a DVD.
But, just to stress the point, you don't have a burner so you cannot
do it.
You can purchase an externally connected USB DVD burner,
that may come bundled with DVD authoring software.
There is no other way of authoring a DVD without a DVD burner! |
