Hi All -

I'm a "veteran" PowerPoint and computer video user/producer, and recently
encountered a problem I've not seen before. I use a mixture of MPEG-1,
MPEG-2, and WMV files in my powerpoint programs, and had done so without
incident for about 6 years.

Last week, I presented one of my PPTs, and the WMV videos in my program were
extremely dim (the image surrounding the video looked fine). I tried playing
the WMV file in Windows Media Player, and again, it was very dim. My MPEG-2
files play fine in PowerPoint and in Media Player.

I'm guessing that my WMV codec somehow got hosed. I currently have Media
Player 11 installed. I rolled back to version 10 and the same problem
occurred, I reinstalled version 11 with the same results. Should I
COMPLETELY uninstall and reinstall Media Player? Are the codecs lurking
somewhere on Microsoft's site and I didn't see them? Any suggestions will be
appreciated!

Thanks,
Gary
