|
|
I hope you can help. We had a laptop that had a single user account (WinXP
Home) with a password. The laptop has since broken so we have put the
harddrive in a caddy and is being used as an external drive.
Whenever we navigate to the documents and settings, enter the users files,
and try to open any further file, we get the error access denied. Probably
because we are not on that account as we are on another computer altogether.
I know the password for the previous user on the original laptop, but how can
i gain access to the users files?
Would appreciate any help.
Many Thanks

We heard you the first time, you have to take ownership of the
files/folders.
