Two Copies XP-Same Partition

I am working on a computer that the owner somehow managed to load 2 copies
of windows on the same drive -same partition.
It still works but you have to choose the second XP installation every time
you reboot.
Does anyone know how to fix that?

Edit the boot.ini and delete the non functioning entry.
