Hello,
I need to do a search and replace across multiple doc files, and be prompted
before each replace. Is there such a utility, or macro? Thank you.

See the article "Find & ReplaceAll on a batch of documents in the same
folder" at:

You will need to make some modifications if you want to be prompted before
each replace.
