a while ago like a year ago i went to upadate XP and then it made it so my
sound no longer works. Ive been trying to fix it for a while and i have found
out some things.
1. the system speakers arnt installed and i cant find any way of doing this.
2. the multimedia audio controller also isnt insatlled and i cant find a way
of doing it
3. the volume control says i need to install a mixer and i dont know how to
do that or what it is
i would appreciate it if someone can help me
i would also appreciate it if you can email me your repsonse at:
XmynameischrisX@hotmail.com
beacause i doubt i would be able to find my way back to this page
1. Speakers will not show up in device manager
2. You need to determine the make and model of your sound card and install
the drivers for it.
3. Volume control will not work without sound card drivers installed.

All of the symptoms indicate that the sound card drivers need to be
re-installed. When Windows XP was updated, the incorrect or obsolete
drivers might have been installed for the audio system in the computer.
It is always best to rely on the manufacturer of the sound system to
provide up-to-date drivers instead of having it installed via Windows
update.
