Windows XP Pro SP2
Firewall off
IP is 192.168.0.5
Why would I be able to ping an external IP address, but not an internal one?
For example, if I ping "159.54.238.23" I get replies back without issue.
However, if I ping "192.168.0.2" I get a "Request timed out." Even if I ping
by name instead of IP address, the results are the same.
Thanx. |

Perhaps 192.168.0.2 rejects ping request packets.
All pinging by name brings is a check to see if the DNS translations are
correct.
