Explorer and Outlook do not see DNS server after MS Auto Upd

Hi,

Yesterday an MS Auto update required a reboot, and now neither Outlook or
Explorer see the DNS server. Other applications such as Yahoo IM, Firefox,
Thunderbird are all working fine and accessing the DNS. DNS accessable from
the command screen as ping www.yahoo.com works fine.

When I test connection in Explorer result comes back OK. The test uses the
DNS. Just IE can not - when I enter an IP address rather than a URL it will
access websites. Rebooted, re-installed IE, check TCP/IP connection working
fine. Its just these two apps. Any advice will be gratefully received.
