Posted: Sun Dec 23, 2007 3:55 am Post subject: Win XP Installion disk removes power from computer
When i insert the Window XP home edition upgrade CD and reboot, i get to
the part where i can choose either to reinstall or select the
Maintenance section. After several seconds the computer shuts down with
as if i hit the power on-off switch. If i click on either selection the
computer shuts down immediately. This started happening a few months ago
and i basically have worked around it by cloning all my partitions to an
external hard drive.My two internal drives are don't know what pertinent
information i should include to get a hint of what to try in order to
resolve the problem.
