We have a lots of word documents with macros builded and mail merge used,
would it be a problems or what is the major impact if we convert them into
word 2007?

Without seeing your code it is impossible to guess. Most functions remain
the same, though not all. Those that involve autotext in particular will
require re-writing.
The main issue with mail merge occurred with Word 2002 and has remained and
that is the change from the default DDE method of connecting a merge
document to its data source. How this will impact on your code is hard to
say. Suck it and see :)
