I am getting a repeated pop-up on my computer. It only says "Buzzed Driving
is Drunk Driving."

Its URL is 66.179.234.173/images/d.html

I've tried scaning my computer for ad-ware, but i am still getting this
pop-up. I would appreciate it if anyone could tell me how to get rid of this.

Remove the URL from your HOSTS file

Yeah, I'm getting exactly the same problem...Ad-Aware doesn't work.
I've tried SUPERAntiSpyware as well and it seemed to be working first
(for about 5 hours),
but just a while ago it started to come up again...

The HOSTS method won't solve the problem because it's definitely some
sort of Trojan or something...
Need to get rid of whatever that's doing this ****.
FYI --> http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm

I desperately need help on this too...

I am getting the same thing, it is driving me nuts.

Does anyone have a solution?

I am also getting some others as well about NBABlogs, NascarBlogs, and then
this one just came up..

I've tried

Avast
AdAware
SUPERAntiSpyware
Spybot

And none have fixed it.

If you know of a fix please let me know.

No update, nothing new, but as far as what I'm getting so far, it seems
to be wise (and I really mean it) to reinstall the Windows rather than
messing up with registries and all that. I mean, my system is now
getting extremely unstable and I don't think I'll be getting any reward
for putting my effort.

Combining nLite, DriverMax, and some others should make you happier
with less cost. What a nice timing, we now have XP SP3 RC to update
anyway.

I'm out of this. Just can't stand it any more.

Not what I'd hoped to hear, I posted the same issue on a forum called
Geekstogo earlier today and haven't had a response yet. One of my local
friends who is PC savvy said it's hidden deep in the machine for sure.
Another suggested a reformat aswell so it's not looking good.

I just don't get how a little pop-up bug is so hard to fix for someone who
knows their stuff. I would assume once some more people get infected a
solution will have to be made. For now I am kind of stuck I guess.

Hey, CoreyD.

Yeah, I've checked the Geekstogo and seemed very promising,
but I just don't have enough patience, and besides,
my PC is getting messed up anyway
so I thought it'd be a good idea to reinstall it again.

Hope yours get fixed soon. Good luck!

Well it seems fixed thanks to a more computer savvy person than myself. No
one ever responded on Geeks to Go, so that was a bust but oh well.

He installed and ran the following programs per some directions he found on
another forum.

Fiwwareout.exe
Otmoveit.exe
Combofix.exe
Haxfix.exe

Not sure the other he did it but it seemed to work.

Good luck.
