Error opening Word attachment from Outlook

I'm asking for someone else so don't have all the details. I believe she's
using Web Outlook and opening a Word attachment. She gets this error:

Windows cannot find 'C:\Documents and Settings\[her username]\Local
Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\[string of numbers and
letters]\[Filename being opened].doc.' Make sure you typed the name
correctly, and then try again. To earch for a file, click the Start button,
and then click Search.

There is a folder by that name up through IE5, but not with the particular
string of numbers and letters mentioned in the error messge. There are other
subfolders with other similar strings, apparently created when opening
attachments (?).

She's using Word 2007 and IE7, so what's the IE5 piece about?

Any ideas why she's getting this error almost constantly? She's also having
some trouble opening pre-2007 Word files from her own hard drive.
