|
|
Hi All-
I'm using MM2.1 in WIN XP and have not yet been able to save a movie in any
format. I've spent many hours searching for a solution and following
recommendations.
None of the following have resolved the issue:
1) Reinstall SP2
2) Shorten the movie
3) Increase virtual memory
4) Update QASF.DLL to 9.0 or greater. (mine is ver 10)
5) Reduce the movie complexity
6) Shut down other applications
7) Save to a drive other than where Movie Maker and content files reside
Reboot
9) Use files MSFT preferes instead of .MP3 or .MOV
10) Turn off
11) Placed all movie parts in one folder
My system resources are beefy with plenty of memory, drive space and
processing power. When rendering, my Commit Charge (K) does not come close to
the Limit. The error, ""Windows Movie Maker cannot save the movie to the
specified location. Verify that the original source files used in your movie
are still available, that the saving location is still available, and that
there is enough free disk space available, and then try again." occurs at
about 75% complete.
Many thanks in advance for your help.

The solution is anybody's guess but maybe
the following info is worth considering.
Sounds like file compatibility issues. And
may be a codec issue also. And...if you
are running IE7...it may be worth a try to
uninstall it.
