Hello,

Is it possible to play a Co-op Campaign-mode game of Gears of War on Xbox
Live if one person is on XP and the other person is on a 360? A friend and I
both have active Gold Live memberships and are able to see each other in
Live, voice chat with one another, and invite each other to Gears of War
games, however, it just doesn't want to work. I am on XP and he is on the 360.

I attempted to get tech support directly from Epic Games. Ha! I attempted to
email Xbox Live and they directed me to their phone support. The phone
support person was entering keywords into a web browser and had ZERO clue
about Xbox Live, Gears of War, the Xbox 360, and not much else. And there is
no way I am paying Microsoft or EpicGames for what should be basic support.

My friend and I tried it out in numerous ways some with me hosting and the
others with him hosting. It always seemed to get stuck on the step where the
non-hosting person received the message that the other invited them to a GoW
game, but when the invite was accepted nothing happened. Xbox Live gave a
message to start the game (whatever that means) and re-accept message.
Nothing worked. What are we missing?

Based upon the fact that the PC version supposedly has 20% more content in
the campaign than the original 360 version, I am thinking that PC to 360
co-op campaign mode is not possible. The additional campaign content
apparently was not made available for download by 360 players.

However, apparently PC and Xbox 360 players of Gears of War can compete in
Versus-mode. I plan to test that out this evening.

Does anyone know for certain whether or not PC and Xbox 360 players can play
the campaign mode cooperatively? If it is possible, what is the trick?

Hopefully some one either at Microsoft or Epic Games will take a look here
and provide a solid answer.

Thanks,
