Hi I have been at this for hours and can't seem to figure out what the
problem is. I am trying to print envelopes. I had to make a custom size for
my christmas cards and they print fine on regular paper, but as soon as I put
the envelope in it won't print the last inch or so of the address on the far
right side. I am so frustrated and I know it has to be something simple but
I have changed every setting I can think of and nothing helps.

Hi,

I use printer HP 812C.

It has no idea if I am using paper or envelope when printing, it just prints
where I told it to print.

In other words, if your address is printing okay on paper it should also
print okay on the envelope.

Here is what I suggest you try.

Lay your envelope on the paper, lay it in the same place it would be if
inserting into the printer, draw a pencil outline around the envelope.

Put the paper into the printer and print.

What is the result?

Unfortunately my printer is not so simple, I had to make a custom size in the printer preferences because my printer kept pulling the envelope through and giving me an error message saying that it wasn't the right paper size. When I changed it to the custom size it takes the envelope ok but still won't print the last inch of the wording. The paper printed fine when outlining the envelope. I guess thats what I get for buying a printer with brains!!

I, too, am having trouble printing envelopes. I printed about a dozen, then
when I came back to print more at a later time, my envelopes shoot through
the printer with the message "Print Cancelled". I had to press OK to tell
the printer to accept the different size, but when I do that I'm now getting
the message. It worked before but not now.

I'm using a HP Officejet 6310.
