I'm thinking of buying one of these but I understand there have been a lot
of problems with them. Is this right? What have people's experiences been
with the Xbox? Are they reliable or is the negative publicity true?

They modified the heatsinks/clamps and it's solved the issue.

"Understeer" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence.
"Torque" is how far you take the fence with you. - Anon.

I had my Elite for precisely half a day before it died (this was the day of
release in the UK) and I am still waiting for it to be returned (including
my Oblivion disk which I could not get out of it after it died!!!).
Support are saying 20 days for turnaround!
Not impressed so far. My original 360 Premium is still going strong with NO
problems (touches wood quickly).
