Hello all,
I'm hoping someone here might be some help. Basically, I've been
hosting Gears of War for months without any issues. In fact, I was
hosting about 10-20 games a night for a month 1/2 straight until I
started to get "Connection Errors".
I figured it was a one time thing, but it has been happening for about
2 weeks now. Now, what I've done to try to figure out the problem:
1) Ran bandwidth tests => all normal to when it was working (1079.8
KB/sec down & 61.3 KB/sec up).
2) I hard-wired my XBox 360 vs. the wireless, problem persists.
3) I tried a different router - a 3 month old (Linksys WRT45GS I
believe), problem persists.
4) I turned off both of my PCs, problem persists.
5) Xbox help deleted my profile (They said it might fix it ... uhm ok),
problem persists.
6) I bought a new Gears of War disc as my original was a bit scratched
... this seemed to fix the problem ... only a handful of "Connection
Errors" for the entire night, but then it happened again the next night.
7) I ran a hardwire directly from the cable modem to the XBox, problem
persists.
Any ideas on what I can try next, or what might be the cause? The best
thing results so far were using a new GoW disc. |

Can you try another Xbox? You have eliminated all other possibilities (that
you have control over).
