We have a student in our MicroApps class who created a document file
in Word 2007. Spellcheck only checks the first paragraph in the
document and does not detect the (deliberate) spelling errors in the
remaining paragraphs of the document. The document is simple text and
does not contain graphics, clipart, tables, etc.
Has anyone experienced this?

Select all of the text. On the Review tab, in the Proofing group,
click the Set Language button (it may not have a text label, so check
the tooltip). Select the correct language and make sure that the "Do
not check spelling or grammar" box is not checked.
